Project Description
"The Govt. of India through National Highway Authority (NHAI) has undertaken Two laning of Trichy to Karaikudi section including Trichy Bypass of NH‐210 (Km. 10.00 to Km. 94.00) and bypass from Km 110.016 to 135.930 in the state of Tamil Nadu on BOT (Toll) project on
DBFOT pattern under NHDP Phase –III Including its operation & maintenance. The project envisages the widening to two lanes trengthing & improvements in the road structure of 107.40 km. (from 10.00 to km 94.00) of Trichy – Karaikudi section. NHAI intends to appoint IE (Independent Engineer) to oversee the activities of the concessionaire during design, operation & maintenance of the projectHighway. IE will act principally on behalf of NHAI and concessionaire to review all construction activities report on financial and technical matters, review of drawings, monitoring of construction works, conducting tests on completion & issuing completion Certifications, Inspection & Monitoring. The project involves construction of 3 major bridges i.e. one at Keeranur tank having span length of 60 meter (4x15 m), second Vellore of 119 km (7x17 m) and the third is at Trichy Bypass of 96 metre length (6x16), two ROBs of (1x37 + 1x24.5) m and (1x25.8)m of PSC girder & RCC slab respectively.
